HELP FOR SYDNEY INVENTORS
Did you know that Australians invented refrigeration, the lawn mower, the black box flight
recorder, wine casks and the bionic ear – just to name a few? One simple idea can have the potential to earn its
inventor thousands if not millions of dollars, providing the commercialisation process is managed correctly.
Innovation Express™ is a unique, face-to-face advisory
service aimed to assist inventors and small businesses identify, evaluate, develop,
protect and commercialise their intellectual property. The program is an extension of the Industry Development
Centre (Hunter) Ltd’s (IDC) highly successful Innovation Advisory Service (IAS) - an initiative sponsored by the
NSW Department of State and Regional Development (DSRD).
Commercialisation managers from IDC will now be visiting Parramatta Sydney
to deliver this unique innovation consultancy service, designed to save inventors valuable time and money and increase
the chances of commercial success of their intellectual property.
Services available include initial advice, assistance with the searching &
protection of intellectual property, commercial feasibility studies, technical assessments of
prototypes, assistance with the applications for research & development grants and loans,
and the commercialisation of products including sourcing of markets, licence agreements and
investment funding.
